Knit Around Downtown

FREE WEEKLY KNITTING GET-TOGETHER... TUESDAYS ON THE PEOPLE MOVER

Every Tuesday between 6 and 8 pm, Knitters and Crocheters from all around the region get together on the Detroit People Mover to “Knit Around Downtown.”   

First timers might want to gather around 5:45 p.m. at the City Knits' new location in the Guardian Building, Corner of Griswold and Congress.  From there, we walk a half block to the Financial District People Mover Station on Larned, just west of Griswold.  Look for the blue-wrapped, Fox 2 News Train.  We ride in the first car.  You can also board that train at any station, so you can start from whatever spot in downtown is most familiar or most convenient for you. 

We knit until 8 pm or so, and then pick a spot on the people mover route for a late-ish dinner together.  People Mover Fare is $.50.
