DPM to Provide Free Passes for Military This Week

Detroit People Mover providing free passes during Marine Week

In recognition of Marine Week and to honor those serving in the armed services, the Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) is issuing free Detroit People Mover (DPM) monthly passes. All military personnel who present themselves in uniform at the DTC Corporate Office through Friday, September 8 will be gifted a DPM pass while quantities last.

The DTC’s office is located in The Buhl Building, 535 Griswold, Suite 400, approximately one block from the Financial District Station. Business hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

Distribution of the complimentary pass will only be issued at the DTC Corporate Office, and will not be available at DDOT or SMART Sales Office locations where People Mover passes are sold.

Detroit People Mover was constructed in 1987 as part of a planned, regional transportation system.  Fare is 75 cents per ride.  Any combination of U.S. nickels, dimes and quarters or one DPM token may be used for entry.  Tokens are available in all DPM stations. Children, ages five and under ride free.
