DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GOAL FOR FFY 2018-2020
The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) operating the People Mover hereby announces its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program goal under guidelines of 49 CFR Part 26 and the regulations and directions of the U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
DTC announces the establishment of the FFY 2018-2020 goal of 0.6 % based on relative availability of service capable DBE providers. This goal has been set based on information currently available. The rationale for this goal and supporting information regarding DTC’s DBE program will be available for public inspection at the Detroit Transportation Corporation offices located at: 535 Griswold, Floor 4, Detroit, MI 48226. These documents are available for inspection between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday-Friday for thirty (30) days following the publication of this notice.
DTC and the FTA/DOT will accept comments on DTC’s DBE goal and DTC’s DBE program for 45 days from the date of this publication. Comments should be sent to the attention of: DBE Liaison Officer, DTC, 535 Griswold, Floor 4, Detroit, MI 48226.

DPM FACILITY DOORS WITH ADA & OTHER ENHANCEMENTS

The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) requests sealed proposals from qualified firms to repair/replace specific doors within the Detroit People Mover’s (DPM’s) Maintenance and Control Facility (MCF) and Transit Stations. The doors shall be equipped with the applicable hardware that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Submit proposals in accordance with the DTC Request for Proposals (RFP) 11-2017-01. Proposals must be received by the DTC Office on or before 2:00 pm (EST), Friday, January 5, 2018. Proposal received after 2:00 p.m. (EST) Friday, January 5, 2018 will be returned to the sender unopened. No proposal, once submitted, may be withdrawn for 120 days after the due date.
Optional site visits for contractor inspections are scheduled on the following:
- Wednesday, November 29, 2017 – 10:00 am EST
- Wednesday, December 06, 2017 – 10:00 am EST

The deadline for written questions and request for approved equals relating to this RFP is Friday, December 8, 2017 no later than 4 p.m. EST.
The successful proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. DTC reserves the right to postpone, accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, for sound, documentable, business reasons.
