DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GOAL FOR FFY 2018-2020

 

The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) operating the People Mover hereby announces its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program goal under guidelines of 49 CFR Part 26 and the regulations and directions of the U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

DTC announces the establishment of the FFY 2018-2020 goal of 1.12 % based on relative availability of service capable DBE providers. This goal has been set based on information currently available. The rationale for this goal and supporting information regarding DTC’s DBE program will be available for public inspection at the Detroit Transportation Corporation offices located at: 535 Griswold, Floor 4, Detroit, MI 48226. These documents are available for inspection between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm Monday-Friday for thirty (30) days following the publication of this notice.

DTC and the FTA/DOT will accept comments on DTC’s DBE goal and DTC’s DBE program for 45 days from the date of this publication. Comments should be sent to the attention of: DBE Liaison Officer, DTC, 535 Griswold, Floor 4, Detroit, MI 48226.

DESCRIPTION: The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) requests sealed proposals from qualified firms to perform station cleaning services.

The successful Proposer (Contractor) shall provide all labor, supplies, materials, tools and equipment as required to provide the cleaning services on a weekly basis, or more often as requested by DTC, as described in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The Contractor shall perform an initial detailed cleaning of each People Mover Station with seven (7) days of Notice to Proceed using appropriate technique, equipment, staff, etc.

The DTC is a quasi-public Corporation, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the DPM. The DPM is a fully automated transit system serving the downtown Detroit core. The system consists of a 2.9-mile single-lane elevated concrete guide way loop, twelve (12) rail cars, thirteen (13) passenger stations, and the Maintenance and Control Facility (MCF).

DESCRIPTION: The Detroit Transportation Corporation, hereinafter also called DTC, invites Bids for the Procurement of special Trackwork Switch Components. Prospective Bidders/Proposers shall submit a Letter Of Intent to DTC’s Procurement Manager, identified in Articles 104 and 106. Addenda and clarifications, if issued, will only be sent to Proposers submitting Letters Of Intent, hereinafter called “Registered Proposers”.

There will be no pre-proposal conference, but an on-guideway track inspection is a mandatory requirement for all Proposers. Proposals received by Proposers who have not performed an on-guideway track inspection in association with DTC staff will be rejected.

The DPM track and guideway will be available for inspection by appointment only to Registered Proposers, at the DTC Maintenance Facility, 1250 Park Place, Detroit, Michigan 48226, during the timeframe provided in Article 103 – Procurement Schedule. Inspections may be scheduled with DTC and will be conducted during time periods when the DPM system is not in operation. Specific dates available for track and guideway inspection include the Sunday mornings of  August 5th, and August 12th between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM (EST). Although there is no requirement for special safety equipment, slip-resistant safety shoes are required. Photos may be taken during the inspection.
