Detroit People Mover resumes service after brief disruption
DETROIT (5/16/17) The Detroit People Mover restarted service this evening at 7:50 p.m. following a temporary disruption of service.
Power loss outside of the transit system resulted in a closure of approximately two hours, fifteen minutes. Standard protocols were in effect, resulting in the safe escort of patrons who were able to exit at the nearest People Mover stations without incident.
Stations have now reopened.
The Detroit Transportation Corporation apologizes for the inconvenience to our patrons.
