- System opens at 9:00AM for early travelers to the Nov. 18 event for Fr. Solanus Casey
- The elevated system offers options outside of congested roadways
As a projected 70,000 Catholics from around the country gather in downtown Detroit on Saturday, traffic from shuttles and other vehicles is expected to cause delays on surface streets. Board the Detroit People Mover (DPM) from any nearby parking deck or surface lot to ride and exit at any DPM station within walking distance to Ford Field.
Four DPM Stations are located near Ford Field:
GRAND CIRCUS PARK
Detroit People Mover fare is $.75, payable in U.S. coins, tokens or People Mover pass.
Transportation of large crowds is a specialty of the People Mover, now in its 30th year of service to the community. The public transit system’s trains arrive every four minutes and are handicap-accessible.
