Detroit People Mover Planned Shutdown: November 10-22, 2025

The Detroit People Mover (DPM) will temporarily suspend service from Monday, November 10 through Saturday, November 22, 2025, to complete the next phase of essential track work.

This 10-day project completes the cycle of guideway assessments and upgrades that began with last fall’s 12-week rail replacement. 

This scheduled shutdown will allow crews to safely perform maintenance on systems which are critical to vehicle operation and rider safety. The Detroit Transportation Corporation plans to restart People Mover service prior to Thanksgiving week festivities, with operations resuming on Sunday, November 23 for the Lions vs. NY Giants game.
